Book to play

The Family Nook is an independent play space and well-being hub in Pulborough, West Sussex. This was created due to the need of a safe and supportive place for families to go in the local area.

A cosy family and children's play cafe with a white wall decorated with colorful framed prints and a clock, beige padded bench seating with pillows, gray tables and chairs, dark wood flooring, and a decorative archway.

After having our daughters, I struggled to find a space to go on the good days but even more importantly, on the hard ones. I wanted an environment that my children would enjoy but also provided nutritious food and a place that I wanted to be as an adult.

Also, despite being a GP, I found there was a lack of resources and support in the things that mattered most to me as a new mum.

This is why I wanted to create The Family Nook.

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair wearing a green apron hands a drink to a laughing woman with short brown hair wearing a headband and striped shirt, in a room with colorful wall art.

A place for play and activities for children, wholesome home cooked food, workshops and information to navigate the journey as a family with young children, and parent meet-ups to build your village.

We hope The Family Nook becomes your home from home, where you know you are always welcome and will be supported.
