What’s On at The Family Nook

Book to play

At The Family Nook we want to ensure that the whole family feel involved and supported. This is why we are offering events for everyone.

On weekdays between 15:30 and 17:00 we offer different activities for children. These include crafting classes, relaxation sessions and nature activities. We also have excellent external companies who will be running classes. Please see the calendar for availability and what’s on each day. Pre-booking is essential for structured activities.

We will also offer different events for families, to support them in their parenting journey. It is often all too easy to get caught up in the noise and the nonsense portrayed as “good advice” for parents. All this does is just make parenting more isolating, challenging and confusing. At The Family Nook we will be offering talks and events from experienced and highly trained professionals to guide you through different issues that we all can face when caring for young families.

These will include breastfeeding support, antenatal and postnatal advice, nutrition recommendations for fertility, antenatal and postnatal, sleep support and well-being guidance.

Though advice and guidance are needed and necessary, it is also important to have times that we can offload, catch up and relax with other parents who understand how you feel. Therefore we will also be running events for parents to relax and enjoy themselves with like-minded people, because we all know it really does “take a village”.

If you would like to take part in any or all of these events, please view the calendar to see the next available dates and ensure you book your spot.
